Fact of the Day: Big Georgia

In its early history the modern U.S. State of Georgia was much bigger. When it emerged as a British colony, it included most of modern day Alabama and Mississippi.

  6. True if other states as well, like Massachusetts which once contained New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.
